LG TVs running webOS use LG’s app catalogue. Start with your model number and the player specified in your setup message. There is no need to reset the television or change its country to begin.
Before you start
- An LG Smart TV connected to the internet
- Your model number and current webOS version
- Your GOTVMIX login details
Open the app catalogue
From the Home screen, open Apps or LG Content Store, depending on your webOS version. Search for the player name supplied in your setup instructions.
Check compatibility first
If the app is listed, check the publisher and install it. If it is unavailable, stop here and ask support about your TV model. Changing the TV region can affect other apps and is not a reliable fix.
Add the playlist
Open the player and follow its sign-in or playlist-management flow. Keep the server address exactly as provided, including the protocol and port if present. Do not put a full M3U link into a server-address-only field.
Reload and check a sample
Save the playlist and return to the TV. Reload the player, wait for the list to finish and try a few items. If the app closes, restart the TV and check for software and app updates before trying again.
Common questions
Is an LG TV an Android TV?
LG webOS is a different platform. Use a webOS-compatible player instead of an Android APK.
Should I reinstall the app if the playlist is empty?
First confirm the login format, server address and subscription status. Reinstalling removes local settings and may not fix an account or server issue.
