Most failed first-time setups come down to a mismatch between the details received and the login form selected. Identify your format before entering anything.
Before you start
- Your original GOTVMIX setup message
- The name of the player you are setting up
Three values: choose the server-account form
If you received a server address, username and password, choose the player’s server-account or Xtream Codes option. Enter each separately. A playlist name is usually your own label, not your username.
One long address: choose M3U
A full playlist link belongs in an M3U or playlist URL field. It may already contain account credentials. Copy it as a single value, preserving all punctuation. Avoid URL shorteners.
Device key: follow the player’s management flow
Some players show a MAC address and device key instead of a login form. These identify that player installation; they are not your Wi-Fi password. Follow the genuine app’s playlist-management instructions or ask GOTVMIX for help.
Check the small details
Remove leading and trailing spaces, preserve capitalisation in passwords and keep any port on the server address. If the correct form still rejects the details, contact support with the error message and your order reference. Do not send passwords in a public post.
Common questions
Can I use the website address as the server URL?
Only if it matches the server address in your setup message. The GOTVMIX website and your playback server may be different addresses.
Does paying for a player activate my subscription?
A player licence and a TV subscription are separate things unless your order explicitly includes both. Check what the payment covers.
